Ramón Rafael Morel, a former Major League Baseball pitcher, was born on Thursday, August 15, 1974, in Villa Gonzalez, Santiago, Dominican Republic.
Morel was 20 years old when he broke into the big leagues on July 6, 1995, with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Morel played for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1995 to 1997 and with the Chicago Cubs in 1997.
